About Traci
Meet Traci Falbo – a 46-year-old mother of 2, a full-time pediatric physical therapist, and an accomplished American Ultra Runner.
In 2003, at the age of 31, Traci began running to lose weight. After losing 80 pounds in about 15 months, Traci set her sights on running her first marathon.
Traci has run a marathon in every state. She has won 22 marathons to date. She has been a member of Team USA on the 24 Hour Team three times (2013, 2015, and 2017) and a member of Team USA on the 100k Team in 2016. She completed the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning in 2013. She currently holds American Record and World Indoor Track Record in the 48 Hour event (242.093 miles). She also held the American Record for 100-mile trail from November of 2014-February of 2015 (14:45:26).
Eight years after running her first marathon, Traci qualified for the 2013 24 Hour US Team by running 137.98 miles at Freedom Park 24 Hour on 12/31/12. She was also the overall winner of the event.
In May of 2013, Traci placed 4th in the World (3rd on Team USA) to help the women win GOLD by running 142.730 miles.
In April 2015, Traci earned an individual SILVER medal and team GOLD by running a new 24 Hour PR of 148.9675 miles, placing her 4th on the UltraRunning All-Time list for North American women.
In November 2016, Traci helped Team USA win a Team Bronze medal in the 100k World Championship in Los Alcazares, Spain. She also earned a Gold medal in the concurrent World Masters 100k for the 45-49 age group.
A month after the 24 Hour World Championship in the Netherlands (2013), Traci completed the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning. Traci was one of only 39 women in 28 years to complete the Grand Slam (the Western States 100, Vermont 100, Leadville 100, Wasatch 100) and the only woman from Indiana.
Traci recently accomplished her biggest running goal of setting an American Record in UltraRunning. Although she never dreamed a World Record was achievable, she also set a World Record on the way to the American Record. Traci set the American Record and World Indoor Track Record for 48 Hours by running 242.093 miles in 48 hours.
In 2014, Traci ran 14:45 at Tunnel Hill 100 miler and set a new American Trail Record on 11/15/14. She held the record until February of 2015.
Traci has paced over 15 marathons, including helping two blind men complete the New York Marathon in 2010 as a guide for Achilles International.
So far, Traci has completed 109 marathons and 39 ultras to date.
